When you came you conquered
The damage you did was irreparable
I ask forgiveness
For I failed to resist you
I forgive you
For your unintentional tyranny
As you leave
Pick up every rubble and go
Let no sign remain
Of your footsteps
When you came you conquered
The damage you did was irreparable
I ask forgiveness
For I failed to resist you
I forgive you
For your unintentional tyranny
As you leave
Pick up every rubble and go
Let no sign remain
Of your footsteps

These 4 lines stands out speaking some thing.
You always used to say that u r not a poet, I could never agree with you except this time.
I wonder, why are you more poetic when u are not writing a poem?
I am not comparing, but asking out of curiosity, was Orhan Pamuk ever wrote poetry??
One more thing, out of context: Do u remember me asking you to inform me when u publish your first Book...?
Keep writing.:-)
The poem is very interesting, simple to read but complex in its meaning. Looking forward for more from you.
Kudos!
